About Us

My wife and I opened The Pet Place in March of 2010.  After years of trying to get somebody to give us a ranch we decided on the next best thing...  open a pet store of our own.  So with the help of family and friends we got-r-done.

I graduated from Northern State University with three business degrees.  Kristin graduated from South Dakota State University (we try not to hold that against her, GO WOLVES) with two agricultural degrees. 

Kristin grew up in Bath, SD on her family's dairy farm and has lived in the area all of her life.  I grew up in St. Louis, MO then moved here in 1994.

In May of 2016 we decided to focus on the dog grooming side our business and made the decision to stop selling all small animals and their supplies to just provide dog grooming and premium dog food and treats. Along with that we changed locations to fit our new needs better and moved to 305 North Main Street here in Aberdeen.
